It has been a great pleasure to participate in the First Linguistic-Anthropological Congress of Caucasologists in Tbilisi (November 14-16) – a multidisciplinary event with papers on Caucasian topics in linguistics, history, ethnology, literary studies, anthropology and archaeology (info Tbilisi State University). Many thanks to the organizers* that managed to attract a large number of participants from the entire Caucasus, not the least from North Caucasus, even in these difficult times. Very happy to meet colleagues from Chechnya, Ingushetia, Dagestan, Circassia and North Ossetia.
My presentation was an overview of Caucasus Studies in Sweden. As a special contribution to the congress I made an earlier monograph available online: Эргативность в черкесских языках (Ergativity in the Circassian languages).
